Lead me into temptation • April 15, 2016

 

I really did intend to sling ink and work hard today, BUT the sunshine was irresistible and when my painting buddy called to lure me up the creek, it took maybe 5 seconds for me to say yes.

 

It was a wonderful few hours. We sat on our favorite bedrock outcropping and discovered each of us has named it after the other. So my “Bob’s Rock” is his “Logan’s Rock.” Pretty darned sweet.

 

We ate lunch and chatted about this, that and everything. Brook trout were making feeding rings in the pool below us, so we went down and caught a couple (we let them go to). The best part of all was discovering the first trout lilies in bloom. They’re elegant little flowers, and their spotted leaves are lovely – see if you don’t agree:
