My odyssey of painting blooms continues. For much of the week, I’ve chased a graphic notion I can’t quite catch: simple, pared down brushstrokes, minimal detail, extra sensitivity to the interplay of broad and fine marks in a staccato against white – and a lot of ink manipulation. The simpler things end up looking, the tougher they are to make. I’m feeling pretty uncertain at the moment, but I’ll keep at it!
